Who is We First?
We First is a creative brand consultancy based in Los Angeles, California, committed to using business as a force for good. Founded in 2011 by Simon Mainwaring, We First developed out of Simon's personal path towards purpose and after publishing the New York Times bestseller, "We First: How brands and consumers use social media to build a better world." We First delivers strategy, training, and content that ensures brands define, integrate, and share their purpose in ways that drive business growth and social impact. We First has worked with leading brands such as TOMS, Virgin, Reef, Eagle Creek, Timberland, VSP Global, SAP, Coca-Cola, VF Corporation and Sony Pictures, by helping them to define, integrate and share their purpose in ways that improve their company culture, brand reputation and social impact.
What does 'We First' mean?
'We First' is a new vision for the role of business in the world. It is a mindset shift, a practice and a movement that ensures business does well by doing good. It stands in contrast to a 'Me First' mentality that prioritizes self-serving behaviors over the collective good. A We First mentality sees the global challenges we face as opportunities for business growth and positive impact based on human values we share. It inspires all stakeholders in a brand's community to work together to build business in a more equitable, sustainable and prosperous way that improves lives and our future.
